Pia returns home to live with her parents after a stay in a psychiatric hospital. Coping with the effects of her medication, and juggling between a failed relationship, returning to work and the trials of family life, Pia seeks her own form of normalcy.

Florian Pochlatko's debut feature is wonderful and genuine and was recognised as such by CIFF's Young Programmers who selected it for the Lookout Award's selection.

Pochlatko, who is attending the festival, offers real insight into young people's psyche while using cinema's magic to illustrate the mind's wild meanderings. He pitches a world through Pia's eyes, with the familiar and the surreal near-inseparable as she struggles to adjust to "normal" life or what is considered normal by society. Luisa-Céline Gaffron's performance as Pia is exceptional.
