Cork International Film Festival is delighted to collaborate with the European Film Academy in hosting a livestream of the 37th European Film Awards on Saturday, 7th December 2024.
The European Film Awards 2024 will be celebrated in Lucerne – Switzerland.
The ceremony will be broadcast live HERE at 7pm GMT (8pm CET) on Saturday 7th December. Tune in below!
The European Film Awards honour the greatest achievements in European cinema. The ceremony of the European Film Awards – the most renowned and prestigious award for European film – is presented by the European Film Academy and European Film Academy Productions. Swiss born and internationally acclaimed host and voiceover actor Fernando Tiberini will be the host of the 37th European Film Awards.
This year’s award European Lifetime Achievement will go to Wim Wenders; Isabella Rossellini will be awarded with the European Achievement in World Cinema award, and North-Macedonian Labina Mitevska will be honoured with the Eurimages Co-Production Award.
The full nominations list includes the very best of European film talent, including Ralph Fiennes for his performance in Conclave, Andrea Arnold’s direction and Franz Rogowski for his performance in Bird, Vic Carmen Sonne and Trine Dyrholm for their performances in The Girl With The Needle and Claude Barras’ Savages all of which we had the pleasure of screening at the 69th Cork International Film Festival last month.
CIFF will screen the five nominated films for the LUX Audience Award 2025 for free in January – check our website and social media regularly for booking announcements!
