CIFF2024 Young (Film) Programmers Project participants announced

Aug 14, 2024 |
News

Cork International Film Festival is delighted to announce the second edition of our Young (Film) Programmers training project.

Under the tutelage of CIFF’s Programming Team, a panel of five young people will learn about the curatorial process of film festivals, developing a comprehensive understanding of festival programming, from screener to screening, but also marketing, licensing and distribution, event management and networking.

CIFF’s Young (Film) Programmers will support our Programming team in the selection of the films eligible for our Festival Look Out Award, supported by the Arc Cinema, and will present the Look Out Award Programme at our Festival in November 2024.

The aim of this project is to provide young cinephiles with a professional training opportunity to engage with the film festival industry, and engage with cinema programming for young people, by young people.

Meet our panel (clockwise from top left): Jade Segrillo, Daniel Noonan, Lucy McManus, Daragh Ryan, and William Walsh (not pictured).
