Today is #GivingTuesday, a global movement where, following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, every part of the community is encouraged to come together to give, volunteer, help, and share to ensure healthy and happy communities in Ireland. CIFF is a registered charity, operating on a non-profit basis and we rely on the generosity and support of film lovers like you to help sustain and grow our vital activities. Your donation, no matter what the size, makes a huge difference. Donate here.
This Saturday, 7th December, CIFF has partnered with the European Film Academy to live-stream the 37th European Film Awards from Lucerne, Switzerland. For more information on this and other news and opportunities, read on below.
THANK YOU TO OUR FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS
Cork International Film Festival wouldn’t be possible without the crucial and enthusiastic help of our Festival volunteers, this year led by Volunteer Manager, Emma White.
On behalf of the entire CIFF team, and on the occasion of International Volunteer Day on Thursday, 5th December, we would like to express our gratitude to the entire CIFF volunteering team for helping us make this year’s edition a roaring success.
GIVING TUESDAY
Today is Giving Tuesday, a day where everyone, everywhere can do something to support the causes that mean so much to them.
Our sincere thanks to all of you who have bought tickets during this year’s Festival, and to our funders, donors, sponsors, partners, Corporate Members and Festival Friends whose continued support we value enormously. It is you, our audience and supporters, who enable us to deliver your annual event and our year-round outreach work.
Since 2019, we have engaged 8,000+ young people, supporting their mental well-being through our unique, free film and mental health programme, Intinn. In 2024 we delivered the third iteration of our Look@Me Primary School Filmmaking project, working with filmmaker Maximilian Le Cain and Strawberry Hill National School in Cork City to produce a short film by 6th class pupils to premiere at the Festival. Your support has been vital in enabling us to develop these and other important education and outreach projects throughout the year.
Find out how you can support CIFF and play a role in enabling film to push boundaries and make a real impact through partnerships, sponsorships and donations.
