| Stop Motion Animation is the cinematic process by which an armatured, poseable puppet is brought to life on screen by breaking up the figure’s motion into increments and filming one frame of film per increment. When the final film is projected, the puppet appears to move of its own volition. Festival Workshops The workshops will run from Monday 15th – Friday 19th. There will be four workshops a day, running for two hours each. The capacity per workshop will be 15. Workshop The children will be the characters and designers of the small piece of animation. They will decide the story and what costumes/ makeup they are going to wear for the animation piece. While they are filming, the process will be projected to a screen for the children to watch and learn and see the process repeated. They will be presented with a DVD after the workshop to play in their schools as a souvenir of the day. |
