Some Media Reports

Reasons for optimism among the Cork film posse“ was the verdict of Donald Clarke of the Irish Times on the festival’s short film programme published on November 19th.

Clarke also worth about the shorts in his blog: The Cork Film Festival honours Left and others…

And again Donald Clarke uses one of the most striking of the new Irish shorts, Andrew Legge’s satire on contemporary Ireland, A Kingdom Once Again, as a basis for his largely humourous Saturday column, entitled on November 17th, Could rejoining the UK be any worse than this?.

Sunday Times Culture Magazine, 4/11/12

A rare treat for the music lovers of Cork “ is how the Sunday Times Culture Magazine described our opening Gala, The Great Flood, with Bill Frisell and band playing his specially commissioned score to Bill Morrison’s film.

Journalist Philip Watson’s excellent interview profile of Frisell is spread over two pages of the magazine.

Our Sminky animation has provoked phenomenal interest. The 20 second advert for RTE’s ‘Supporting the Arts’ scheme attracted 10,000 views in less than 24 hours. It sat on the top page of Youtube and on the No. 1 spot of the Entertainment section of YouTube for a week. The ad has had over 100,000 YourTube views to date. It was broadcast regularly on RTE1 and RTE 2.
