We’re thrilled that our TV advert and trailer this year is by Andrew James, creator of the hugely successful Sminky shorts which have attracted over six million hits on YouTube in recent months.

Sminky fans have an opportunity to ‘Meet Sminky’ on Wednesday 14th at 10.30pm in Triskel Christchurch. Andrew will present some of the most popular shorts and also some brand new Sminkys.

In our opinion, the best new Irish shorts from the 300 submitted. The selection includes drama, comedy, animation, documentary and experimental films. There are films in English and as Gaeilge. All are excellent and illustrate the wealth of emerging and existing talent in the Irish film community. We are honoured to be screening these films.
