“Cine Trans Europe is a partnership between five European film festivals, which has the objective of promoting a cinéma de difference, a cinema that unites the complex and enigmatic with a fondness for experimentation, which rebels against standards, norms and stereotypes” – Dieter Wieczorek (Festival Signes de Nuit, Paris).
The participating festivals are: Signes de Nuit, Paris; European Media Arts Festival, Osnabrück; L’Alternativa Independent Film Festival, Barcelona; Film Experience, Amsterdam and Corona Cork Film Festival.
In this special programme, each festival has nominated films to best represent their particular taste in experimental filmmaking.
