After the war in Bosnia, poet Goran Simic immigrates to Canada hoping that he can reclaim his past existence. The road is bumpy, not only because of the difference in language and culture or because of an industry of importing people. While he struggles to adapt to his new life, Simic gradually begins to face up to the reality that the Bosnian war will never truly leave him, no matter how far he travels.
