Dogtooth centres upon a family who have confined themselves to a remote country estate. The kids are being exercised in any manner that their parents deem appropriate, without any influence from the outside world. The only outsider allowed to enter the house is Christina, who is paid to appease the sexual urges of the son. However, Christina soon tires of her role and enlists the elder daughter for some girl-on-girl action, upsetting the domestic balance in the process. A relentless satire on middle-class ethics, Dogtooth is a brilliantly brave and revealing film as director Lanthimos deals a deliciously dry blow below the belt.
