Slow Food
Friday 13th | 7.00pm | Kino Cinema

Cork Film Festival and Slow Food Ireland are proud to present this gala evening of food and film. We combine some of the year’s best short films with a picnic menu designed by Clodagh McKenna of Slow Food Ireland, containing produce from some of the finest Cork food producers. On top of that, you’ll receive a glass of Prosecco, kindly sponsored by Febvre wines.
With entertaining films from France, Germany and of course Italy – we are delighted also to present the world premiere of a new Irish documentary ‘Fowl’ directed by Andrew Legge, which features interviews with several local Cork producers.
Slow Food, founded in 1986, is an international organisation whose aim is to protect the pleasures of the table from the homogenisation of modern fast food and life. Through a variety of initiatives, it promotes gastronomic culture, develops taste education, conserves
agricultural biodiversity and protects traditional foods at risk of extinction. To find out more, and become a local slow food member contact: info@slowfoodireland.com
