ONEDOTZERO - 10 YEARS
We mark onedotzero's 10th anniversary with a 3 programme flavour of their celebratory London festival at the ICA this summer - “the most crucial, groundbreaking festival of the early 21st century” [guardian film unlimited]. These retrospective programmes of innovative moving image consolidate the achievements of the last decade with a clear focus on the future. Spectrum 1 and 2 look back over the onedotzero archive, presenting key films and productions which are genuine attempts to create new forms of visual expression and new film languages. Warp Anatomy of a Label pays homage to this notable UK record label which which discovered some of the most enduring artists in electronic music, and latterly moved into video and film production.
These 'best of' collections attempt to chart the medium's advances with key productions, producers and moments. The two programmes give us a contextthat takes us from a 'fetishisation' of the technology; to experiments in aesthetics.
