Jens Jonsson was born on a small island off Umeå, Sweden in 1974. He studied graphics and film directing at Dramatiska Institutet in Stockholm. In a relatively short time, he has written and directed many short films, winning major international awards. With an eye for the extraordinary in the ordinary, his characters and scenarios
resonate with humanism, humour and insight. Whatever the drama unfolding onscreen, his films are quite often about a person trying to make headway in life.
We welcome Jens Jonsson to Cork to introduce his films.
