YOUTH JURY COMPETITION
WANT TO BE ON THE CORK FILM FESTIVAL’S YOUTH JURY 2006?
HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO SPEND A WEEK WATCHING FILMS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD? ARE YOU AGED BETWEEN 15 AND 18? WELL HERE IS YOUR CHANCE. EACH YEAR CORK FILM FESTIVAL PICKS THREE YOUTH JURY MEMBERS TO WATCH AND SELECT THEIR FAVOURITE SHORT FILM FOR THE YOUTH JURY AWARD. SO DO YOU WANT TO SPEND OCTOBER 8TH TO 15TH WATCHING FILMS, MEETING NEW PEOPLE AND FILMMAKERS AS WELL AS GETTING A BACKSTAGE AND FULL-FESTIVAL PASS, VIP STATUS PLUS A GET OUT OF SCHOOL CARD FOR THE WEEK? YOU’LL HAVE TO TAKE THE WEEK OFF AND ENJOY YOURSELF, SO YOUR PARENTS AND SCHOOL WOULD HAVE TO BE COOL WITH THE IDEA.
So how do you enter?
Write a review of any film you want in up to 300 words. It doesn’t matter if you like or dislike the movie, just write how you feel about it and why. The review has to be typed. Handwritten entries will not be accepted, even if they are great, sorry!! The competition is open now. The closing date for the competition is Monday, October 2nd 2006.
So what to do;
Start writing your 300-word film review,
type it out clearly, include your name, your date of birth, address, contact numbers (home & mobile), your parents' names and the school you attend at the top of your review.
So when that’s done you can either email your entry to us at education@corkfilmfest.org or post it to ‘Youth Jury Competition,’ Cork Film Festival, Emmet House, Emmet Place, Cork.
