Slow Food Evening
Monday 10th | 6.30pm | Kino Cinema

The Slow Food Movement, founded in Italy in 1986, is an international organisation whose aim is to protect the pleasures of the table from the homogenisation of modern fast food and life. Through a variety of initiatives, it promotes gastronomic culture, develops taste education, conserves agricultural biodiversity and protects traditional foods at risk of extinction. Slow Food has over 80,000 members in over 100 countries. Slow Food Cork and Cork Film Festival present the 3rd year of Slow Food on Film with an evening combining food and film in a unique way.

We salute the Slow Food producers from Cork city and county who serve up their rare and tasty delights alongside films that inspire thought on the nature of our relationship with food, and the politics of food production.

On tonight's menu: Five short films will screen, with delicious bites in between supplied by the cream of Slow Food Cork producers, including:

Fingal Ferguson Chorizo
Bill Hogan Desmond Cheese
Ollie Moore Fisherman
Jane Murphy Ardsallagh Goats Cheese
Frank Hederman Smoked Fish
Richard Graham Leigh Patisserie
Clodagh and Simone Tapas
