GuinnessSize Me (IRL), directed by Chris Kelly
2005 will see the world premiere of 'Guinness Size Me' a comedy documentary where two Irish filmmakers describe the effects of drinking Guinness only for one week. "GuinnessSize Me" was filmed in pubs in Belfast, Dublin, Galway and Waterford and the film makers were not allowed to consume any food during the making of the documentary. This feature length film incorporates animation and music and gives a humorous insight into the effects of a diet solely of the black stuff.

Mad Hot Ballroom (US), directed by Marilyn Agrelo
Providing a unique insight into the incredible cultural diversity of New York, this film profiles schoolchildren in three schools who journey into the world of ballroom dancing and reveal pieces of themselves and their world along the way. Told from their candid sometimes hilarious perspective, these kids are transformed from reluctant ballroom dancers to determined dancing competitors as they attempt to compete in the Finals of the New York Ballroom Dancing Competition.

Crossing the Bridge: The Sound of Istanbul (GER), directed by Faith Akin Alexander Hacke, a collector of musical styles and an experimenter with sound, roams the streets of Istanbul with his mobile recording studio and magic mike to assemble an inspired portrait of Turkish music. The film features a variety of ethnic singers, instrumentalists and bands. This film is a must for music lovers and film lovers alike and several of the musicians performing who performed in the Documentary will be in Cork fro the 50th Cork Film Festival. Following the screening of the documentary, Alexander Hacke will DJ Turkish themed music in the Blue Angel Club in the Opera House.
