Chris Keuleman is a Third Culture Kid - he grew up in countries
all over the world but always imagined that he was really American.
When he finally arrives in New Jersey his 'homecoming' is documented
by photographer Rob Smits. Keuleman's documentary, which will screen
during the festival, consists of a series of these photographs accompanied
by music and text. Rob Smits' original photographs will be exhibited
in the Triskel Arts Centre for the duration of the festival.

Coming Soon - The Strange World Of Irish Cinema Trailers
For many years film enthusiast Paul Balbirnie has been collecting
Irish film memorabilia, both in Ireland and in Los Angeles where
he worked for many years with the American Cinematheque. Paul has
an extensive archive of Irish related film prints, posters, lobby
cards and trailers.
In 2002 Cork Film Festival screened a print of the 1959 Walter
Macken drama, Home Is The Hero from the Balbirnie Collection This
year we are delighted to present a novel and entertaining pro-gramme
of Irish film trailers selected by Paul from his collection.
These include trailers for Shake Hands With The Devil, Nightfighters,
Johnny Nobody, Ulysses, Jacqueline, Rooney, Paddy, Wedding Night,
Flight of the Doves, Quackser Fortune Has A Cousin In The Bronx,
The Fighting Prince Of Donegal, Where's Jack?, I Thank A Fool, The
Purple Taxi, Excalibur, High Spirits, Rattle and Hum and, worth
the price of admission alone, the trailer for Rawhead Rex!
Paul will be present to introduce what promises to be a fascinating
programme.
