This competition is open to students between the ages of 16
- 18yrs of age and they must write a review of their favourite
film in no more than three hundred words. The three winners will
then become members of our Youth Jury, attending screenings all
week of the festival. The winners will have VIP passes to the
Festival and will select the Youth Jury Short Film 2005. See the
Irish Examiner Thurs 15th, Wed 21st, & Wed 28th Sept for full
details. Closing dates for entries is October 3rd.
RULES & REGULATIONS
- Entries can be sent via email or post (see below) hand writen
or typed will be accepted but typed entries are prefered.
- You need to be between the ages of 16 - 18yrs
- Application are open to residents of the Rep. Of Ireland and
Northern Ireland.
- Following full disclosure of details regarding their dependantŐs
activity and acceptance of by parents / legal guardians, a permission
of attendance must be signed by a parent / legal guardian
- Permission to attend screenings
- Students suffering from any disability, recurrent illness,
eating disorder or allergy, must give details and where special
treatment or medication could be required must give the name
and telephone number of the family doctor and a covering letter
from same. All students MUST answer the question on health on
the registration form and any information given will be treated
in the strictest confidence.
- Medication Where special medication is required, a sufficient
supply to last the entire course should be taken to the college.
An accompanying letter from the student's doctor would also
be of help.
- If parental approval is not forwarded and signed, the candidate
will be unable to attend.
- Cork Film Festival unfortunately cannot supply accommodation
or residential care for those wishing to enter the Youth Jury.
Parental / Guardian consent or supervision will be required.
- Cork Film Festival accepts full responsibility for care of
the Youth Jury members within the designated times laid out
by the screening and festival program.
- Cork Film Festival does not accept responsibility for the
Youth Jury members external to the designated times laid out
by the screening and festival program.
- If you are accepted you must have full parental consent to
attend as a member of the Youth Jury.
- Applications will be open from Monday September 12th - Friday
October 3rd.
- The results will be announced in 'The Irish Examiner' on Tuesday
October 6th.
