• A workshop catering for young filmmakers takes place
• Festival is opened by Bryan Forbes, Head of Associated British Production Studios
• Opening Gala: (Italy) God is with Us, directed by Guiliano Montaldo
• Festival pays tribute to Bryan Forbes and honours his works by screening "Whistel Room", "King Rat", "The Wrong Box" and " The Whispers"
