Welcome
to one of the most important events in Cork's social and cultural
calendar!
Established in 1956, Cork Film Festival has
enjoyed a steady growth in scale, in numbers of admissions and
guests, in reputation and in media coverage. The festival has
developed an ever-increasing audience of film lovers and filmmakers.
The programme is wide-ranging, an eclectic mix of big budget pictures,
world cinema, innovative independent films, documentaries and
short films from all over the globe. The festival is a major showcase
for Irish film production.
The 50th Cork Film Festival will
take place in 2005 and will coincide with Cork's reign as European
Capital of Culture. This is a very exciting time for Cork and
for the film festival. There has never been a better time to get
involved!
Our patrons have always been a valued part
of the festival and this year we need your support as much as
ever. With your help the festival will continue to grow and to
be an event that Cork is proud of.
As a patron you will receive:
* Please note that whilst patron passes are
valid for all screenings, tickets must be booked and collected
in advance. All tickets are subject to availability and we therefore
strongly recommend that you avail of priority booking. Also we
respectfully ask that patrons do not book tickets for two films
that are screening simultaneously.
