Japan's finest moving-image makers, incorporating cg +
motion graphic-fuelled narratives, TV idents, commercials,
and other adventurous work. The range of animation styles
used in promos continues to develop rapidly, with fresh
talents flexing their creative muscles alongside more
established directors. As the highly competitive creative
scene evolves, with a greater degree of international
collaboration, this selection of works - rarely seen outside
of Japan - shows that contemporary Japanese moving image

concepts, this year the programme continues to discover
new talent and enterprise. More work utilises the new
visual techniques to illuminate individual ideas, stories
