What is the Youth Jury?
The Youth Jury consist of six members aged between 16 - 18yrs.
The Jury attend screenings of films for the festival week
(October 10th - 17th 2004) and deliberate a winner of the
much sought after award, the Shoot it! Youth Jury Award.

Details will also be available from our Sponsor 'The
Irish Examiner'. Write a review of any film you want in up
to 300 words, then send it in to The Cork Film Festival. The
best written reviews will be selected by Ian Kilroy (Arts
Editor, 'The Irish Examiner) & Eoin î Cath‡in (Cork Film Festival,
Education Officer) to be part of our Youth Jury.
The Youth Jury will attend screenings and decide
which short they feel deserves the 'Shoot it' Youth Jury Award.
The Screenings will happen from October 10th - 17th. So if
you get accepted you will need to clear your calendar for
the week.
The best entry we receive will write a festival
and personal diary to be published after the festival in 'The
Irish Examiner'.
So what are the rules about entry.

Application
are open to residents of the Rep. Of Ireland and Northern
Ireland. Cork Film Festival unfortunately cannot supply
accommodation or residential care for those wishing to
enter the Youth Jury. Parental / Guardian consent or supervision
will be required. |

Cork Film Festival accepts
full responsibility for care of the Youth Jury members
within the designated times laid out by the screening
and festival program. |

Cork Film Festival does
not accept responsibility for the Youth Jury members external
to the designated times laid out by the screening and
festival program. |

If you are accepted you
must have full parental consent to attend as a member
of the Youth Jury. |
Applications will be open from Monday September 6th - Friday
October 1st. The results will be announced in 'The Irish Examiner'
on Tuesday October 5th.
